BEN and BEN-EAST projects summer school "Cross-border cooperation to support environment and sustainable development in the Baltic Sea Region", Tartu, Estonia, 20-25 August 2007

The summer school on CBC held in Tartu, Estonia, will become the second joint event in the frames of BEN and BEN-EAST projects after the seminar "Issues of common labour market in CBC region" that took place in Fredrikstad, Norway, on 15-17 May, 2007. The school will be organized by the Peipsi Center for Trans-border cooperation for the specialists of the Baltic Sea Region. The summer school aims at promotion the knowledge and experience in planning and implementation of CBC activities that will help participants from different organizations involved in cross-border cooperation to develop their skills and exchange views on environmental, economic and other perspectives of the regions they are representing. Experts in CBC from the Baltic countries, Russia and Belarus are invited to hold lectures, training sessions and to organize group work where new project ideas and proposals may appear. 

Social programme will include a trip on an ancient barge, an excursion to the Estonian - Russian border, visiting Setu Open air museum, a native reserve and some other events.

Up to two representatives of BEN and BEN-EAST projects partners are welcome to apply to participate in the summer school. The activities of the summer school will be in English that is why a good command of the English language is required.
